Lahaina Wedding

A Lahaina Wedding at Olowalu Plantation House for Lauren & Hayeong’s beautifully romantic wedding day.

There’s no denying the natural beauty seen in the tropical landscape of Lahaina. Verdant tropical greenery resides everywhere while views of the ocean beckon the romantics at heart to plan a wedding in paradise. Lauren and Hayeong’s romance was seen in the details of their wedding day. Lush florals with delicate pastel tones, classic wedding day attire, and the delicate sounds of gentle harp music swirling around the atmosphere. Our bride and groom had a specific vision for their Lahaina wedding, so we worked with them to curate each & every element.

When it came to venue selection, there was no doubt that Olowalu Plantation House fit the bill. As a Lahaina wedding venue, Olowalu Plantation House provides a backdrop of the shore for al fresco wedding ceremonies. And an expansive lawn for dinner and dancing under the stars.

Lauren and Hayeong’s wedding ceremony faced the cool blue waters of the Pacific. Before the bride made her entrance, she was preceded by the most adorable flower girl. This sweet little one was so focused on her duties as a flower girl, that it brought a smile to all in attendance. Additionally, both Lauren and Hayeong’s mothers came down the aisle dressed in traditional Korean Hanboks. Historically, ornate Hanboks were worn for special occasions such as weddings. To see the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom dressed in these beautifully traditional garments reminded us, once again, how marriage is a coming together of love and family.

The magnitude of smiles exuding from our bride and groom after being pronounced husband and wife, truly say it all. Once at the end of their aisle, they paused for a newlywed kiss. Then, the white rose petals that lined their aisle became the perfect component for celebration, a petal toss. A celebratory moment, but also a moment for Lauren and Hayeong to be fully present and savor their day.

After the wedding ceremony, it was time for Lauren and Hayeong to make an appearance at their wedding reception. Guests raised their glasses in honor of the bride and groom before they headed off for sunset wedding portraits along the shore. Lauren’s off-the-shoulder bridal gown created a beautiful silhouette against the glow of the setting sun. Her cathedral-length veil floated in the gentle breeze that came in from the shore. Lauren and Hayeong then spent the rest of the evening in the company of their guests, sipping signature cocktails, and dancing under the moonlight.
