Undeniably, a Hana Maui wedding is one filled with idyllic views of the roaring sea, which are courtesy of its cliffside location. Kat and Tyler worked with us to plan their intimate but intentional Hana Maui wedding. The result was a breathtaking wedding day, centered on their love story.

Located in Hana, HI, Hana Maui is a wedding venue and boutique-style resort. The property is serenely tucked away over 75 lush acres. Located at the eastern end of the island, Hana is somewhat remote. It is perhaps best known for its scenic drive, otherwise known as ‘the road to Hana’. The drive is filled with views of stunning Hana, HI, over 52 miles. Along the way, you’ll cross countless bridges, hairpin turns, and best of all, experience the stunning beauty that our beautiful island is known for.

Hana Maui Wedding

Many of our couples planning a wedding at Hana Maui, do so because they want their nuptials to embody the spirit of the island. But without some of the heavy foot traffic that comes with the more common resort destinations. For those reasons, we always recommend Hana Maui resort. When working with Kat and Tyler to plan their wedding, we focused on the elements most important to them, while adding in a few personal touches through design and decor.

Their guest list was intimate. So, throughout the planning process, we kept coming back to the idea of allowing connection through each of their events. The end result was centered around this overall idea. With guests fully immersed in each part of their wedding day as it unfolded. During the ceremony, guests were treated to luxuriant all white fresh floral leis and parasols to shield them from the sun. Photos taken after the ceremony were created with different pairings of guests, allowing plenty of time for Kat & Tyler to capture each moment with the ones they love most.

However, their reception celebration is where we were able to amplify the setting. We focused on creating an intimate dinner experience where conversations were shared over fresh seafood, and toasts and speeches were given by anyone with warm words to share about the bride and groom. Above all, the littlest guests in attendance were treated to lawn games and the ability to craft their own wedding day card for Kat and Tyler.

Additionally, a live musician was on hand to serenade Kat and Tyler during their ceremony and reception. Guests were able to look on as the newlyweds took to the lawn to share a first dance, all while enjoying the peaceful setting and soothing melodies.
